INOVAI 6.0

Redefining Putter Innovation

CASE STUDY

Industry Context

In the early to mid 2010s, the putter industry was caught up in the high MOI movement. Manufacturers pushed weight to the rear of the head, prioritizing forgiveness above all else. At the same time, face inserts and multi-material builds became the norm, often softening feel but reducing feedback.

While the industry was zigging, we chose to zag.

Our Approach

We set out to flip the narrative by keeping a stainless steel face at the heart of the design. This wasn’t just about tradition — it was about preserving feel and sound while still delivering the forgiveness and stability modern players demanded.

Key Innovations in the INOVAI 6.0

Stainless Steel Face Platform: Built around a common steel face that preserved responsive feedback and sound.

  1. Modular Design: A core component that supported multiple head configurations and “looks.”

  2. Symmetry for All Players: Allowed for seamless RH and LH builds.

  3. Customization Potential: Supported welded necks and adjustability for bespoke setups.

  4. Efficiency Through Modularity: A system that scaled production without compromising precision.

Impact on the Game

The INOVAI 6.0 proved that a putter could deliver both high MOI stability and traditional stainless feel. It became a true platform for innovation — one that supported limited editions, customization, and future iterations — while setting a new standard later echoed by other manufacturers.
